As a Sun Devil Football parent/guardian, I understand and agree to support the following Code of Conduct:

  • I will remember that children participate to have fun and learn.
  • I will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship.
  • I will accept the decisions of the game officials and judges on the field and in competitions as being fair and called to the best ability of said officials.
  • I will not criticize an opposing team, its athletes, coaches, or fans by word of mouth or gesture.
  • I will emphasize that good athletes strive to be good students and that both are physically and mentally alert.
  • I will demand that my child treats coaches, officials, and other players with respect regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or ability.
  • I will praise my child for competing fairly and trying hard.
  • I will emphasize that winning is the result of good teamwork.
  • I will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, staff member, or parent.
  • I will not boo, taunt, refuse to shake hands, or use profane language.
  • I will not ridicule or yell at my child or other participants for making a mistake or losing a game.
  • I will not coach my child or other players during games or practices, unless I am a coach.
  • I will not deliberately incite unsportsmanlike conduct.
  • I will not possess or drink alcoholic beverages and/or use illegal substance(s) on the field, or during practice or game.
  • I will not smoke, vape, and/or use smokeless tobacco on the field.
  • I will not address any issues with a coach or a member of staff on game day, unless it is an emergency.
  • I will uphold all rules and regulations regarding the Sun Devils Youth Football Club and the San Tan Youth Football League.
  • I will act in a respectful and courteous manner at all times when on the field or representing the Sun Devils Youth Football Club or STYFL.
