STYFL SUN DEVILS COMMUNITY PACT
2026 Season: Parents, Coaches, & Volunteers
Our Core Philosophy: Development First & Confidence through Competence
1. General Expectations & Professionalism
Role Models First: All adults must conduct themselves as positive role models. Toxic team dynamics and unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
Player Conduct: Players must treat teammates, opponents, and officials with respect. Bullying, hazing, or name-calling will not be tolerated.
Attendance & Punctuality: Consistent attendance is crucial. Families must ensure athletes arrive on time and are ready for practice.
Respect the Chain of Command: Grievances must be directed through the proper channels (Coordinators or Head Coach).
Constructive Support: Feedback and cheering must be positive. Berating players, coaches, or officials is grounds for removal.
The 24-Hour Rule: Parents/volunteers must wait 24 hours after a game or practice before raising concerns.
2. Player Safety & Coaching Standards
Safety Protocols: Coaching staff must strictly follow the USA Football Youth Contact System.
Development Over Winning: Coaches are expected to prioritize athletic and character development over the scoreboard.
Objectivity: Volunteer coaches must evaluate all players equitably, avoiding favoritism.
Closed Practices: Practices are closed to non-participants. Siblings must remain in designated areas.
3. Financial Integrity & Operational Rules
Transparent Transactions: All dues and business must go through approved, official channels.
No Personal Platforms: The use of Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or PayPal for official team business is strictly prohibited.
Approved Fundraising: All sponsorships and booster activities must be cleared through PR or executive staff.
4. Digital Communications & Media Consent
Professional Presence: Expectations for conduct extend to all digital spaces.
Stay On-Topic: Channels are reserved for scheduling and operational updates.
Media Consent: By signing, parents/guardians grant the STYFL Sun Devils permission to use media of their athlete for promotional purposes.
5. Accountability and Enforcement
Family Accountability & Financial Policy: Severe, toxic, or repeated violations may result in the removal of the entire family. Please be advised that in the event of removal for violation of this Community Pact, no refunds will be issued for registration dues, sponsorship contributions, or any other donations made to the STYFL Sun Devils Youth Football & Cheer Association.
